Miko Lim, born in Malaysia, brought up in Seattle and raised by a Czech-American mother and a Chinese father.

During his youth in Seattle he would deliver newspapers to his neighbour Kurt Cobain. It was the epicenter of the Grunge Era but for his college years, Lim moved to Los Angeles and spent his free time surfing and interning at Hollywood studios. His serious interest in photography developed while behind the scenes on movie sets.

Since then, Lim has become an established name within the photographic community with an impressive client list, shooting for such brands as Nike, Adidas, Olay, Coca Cola, Red Bull, Converse, Diesel, and Maybelline. His editorial clients include GQ, Esquire, Numero and Vogue.

Lim's first book, We Are The Only Ones, which depicted a fresh, youthful summer in Miami, was published in 2011.

He splits his time between New York, Los Angeles and London with his wife and three sons.
